DDA Housing Scheme Latest News 2020 for 5,000 Homes
The DDA plans to launch 5,000 flats between May and June 2020 as part of its housing scheme. The highlight of the DDA Housing Scheme 2020 will be 1,000 luxury homes in Dwarka. Currently, around 60,000 houses are under construction by the DDA in Delhi. Not all houses under construction will be ready in the next few months. This year the housing scheme may have around 5,000 houses. Construction of all other houses will be completed at a later date.
The Delhi Development Authority plans to offer flats for LIG, MIG and HIG category people. The new houses will be spread over Jasola, Dwarka and Narela areas. There will be luxury penthouses in one block of Dwarka. DDA’s new plan will not be limited to building penthouses but will be units of all sizes. Most of the currently under construction houses are 60,000. Of these, around 55,000 houses are of 2 BHK or less.
Only in Dwarka region, flats are of large size and there will be units of all sizes in a single colony. The DDA Housing Scheme 2019 received a resounding response, with many homebuyers surrendering in their flats located in the Narela area. The main reason for the surrender of this flat was lack of proper transport and basic facilities in the area.
The DDA currently aims to improve traffic and other amenities in the designated locations for the housing scheme. The units to be set up this year will include 1,000 luxury flats, 14 penthouses, 170 super-HIG flats and around 900 HIG units. The two-level Panch houses located in Dwarka will have a terrace garden and four bedrooms. The rest of the houses will be of small size.
