Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897 and died on 18 August 1945. He was only 48 years old when he died. He was a great Indian nationalist leader who fought courageously against the British rule during the Second World War for India’s independence. Netaji was a free-spirited, youth and core leader of the Indian National Congress during 1920 and 1930. He became Congress President in 1938 although he was removed in 1939.
