Know why you are deducting ₹ 330 from your account
Banks have debited ₹ 330 from the accounts of many citizens. This debit has been made from the account of citizens registered under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana in the month of May. Every year the scheme is renewed on 1 June and the premium amount for renewal is debited by banks in the month of May. If the beneficiary has more than 1 account and the premium amount has been deducted from more than one account, in this case you can request your bank to refund the fee. The scheme can be availed for 1 year. If the beneficiary wants to get the benefit of this scheme after 1 year, then it will be compulsory to get them discharged. Citizens between 18 and 50 years of age who have a savings account can avail the benefit of this scheme.
To get the benefit of this scheme, it will be mandatory to implement auto debit feature. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana is from 1 June to 31 May. Risk cover will be applicable only after 45 days

If you are already enrolled under this scheme then you do not need to reapply every year. Every year the premium amount will be deducted from your bank account and you will be renewed. Not all new buyers can claim up to the first 45 days of enrollment under this scheme. The claim can be made only after the 45-day period is over. No claims will be settled by the company in the first 45 days. But if the applicant dies due to an accident then in this case the applicant will be paid.

Exit fund jeevan jyoti bima yojana
Any person who has withdrawn from the Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana can join this scheme again. To rejoin the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, the premium amount will have to be paid and a health related self declaration will have to be submitted. By paying the premium and depositing self declaration, any person can re-enroll in the scheme.
