Online Apply for NISHTHA Teacher Training Program 2020 at

Central Government. Has launched a national initiative for school head and teacher holistic development (NISHTHA) scheme. Ministry of Human Resource Development is inviting online applications for the world’s largest NISHTHA teacher training program at This integrated program aims to build capacity of about 42 lakh participants. The new loyalty teacher training program is a national mission to improve learning outcomes at the initial level. There are around 120 national resource groups, 33000 state resource groups and 42 lakh teachers, headmasters, BRCs and CRCs.

NISHTHA: ‘National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA)’, a national mission to improve learning outcomes at the elementary level.

NISHTHA consists of all teachers and primary level school heads of all government schools. Even all the faculty members of the State Councils of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and District Education and Training Institute (DIET) are involved. Block resource coordinators and cluster resource coordinators will also be included in all states and union territories. Nishtha is the integrated teacher training for online transformation ie Samagam Shiksha.

NISHTHA Teachers Training Program 2020

The National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers is the largest teacher training program of its kind in the world. The main objective is to inspire and equip teachers to encourage and promote critical thinking in students. The Ministry of Human Resource Development will spread awareness among teachers and enable them to develop their skills. Expected results from NISHTHA are: –

  •     Improve student learning outcomes.
  •     Enabling and Enriching Inclusive Classroom Environments
  •     Teachers as first level counselors become alert and responsive to the social, emotional and psychological needs of students.
  •     Teachers are trained to use art to increase creativity and innovation among students.
  •     Teachers are trained to develop and strengthen the personal-social qualities of students for their overall development.
  •     Creating healthy and safe school environment.
  •     Integration of ICT in teaching learning and assessment.
  •     The development of the Stress Free School Development Assessment focuses on the development of learning competencies.
  •     Teachers adopt activity based learning and move from rote learning to competency based learning.
  •     Teachers and school leaders are aware of new initiatives in school education.
  •     Transformation of heads of schools in providing educational and administrative leadership for schools to promote new initiatives.

NISHTHA Teacher Training Schedule

Central government. Will provide training directly to teachers through 33120 Key Resource Persons (KRP) and State Resource Persons (SRP) identified by the State and Union Territories. These KRPs and SRPs will be alternately trained by 120 National Resource Persons identified from the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA).

All states and union territories will have the option to make the training module relevant and use its content and resource persons. This will be done keeping in mind the core subjects and expected outcomes of the NISHTHA teacher training program. Important features of NISHTHA are activity-based modules, including built-in continuous feedback mechanisms, online monitoring and support systems, training needs and impact analysis (pre and post training).

The NISHTHA teacher training program will enable participants to learn innovative teaching methods, use of arts and technology in the classroom and basic counseling techniques.
