A street bearer leads to a very miserable life. It is very difficult. He does not have a home and has no shelter even for the night. In the summer he is disturbed by the heat. In the winter he extinguishes in the cold. He may be frozen to death, but no one bothers him. The rainy season is the worst for him. Some street beggars appeal for donations in musical ways. They take their instruments and sing which are usually of religious character. Many beggars make themselves into a small group and sing together. They are able to get something easily to the passengers — by which we should pity the poor bhikari but we should not be shown a donation for a healthy companion which is sufficient to work and earn one’s living. He is no better than a thief, he is a threat to society. Overall, the sight of Bhikari roaming the streets is disgusting. His presence is a blot on our society. Something must be done to provide them with work. The government should open houses for the disabled and vulnerable.
