Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will soon launch a new first mobile application for its citizens. People can download the Pratham app to book bus tickets through online mode. It is a first-of-its-kind mobile app launched on 20 July 2020. Its main objective is to encourage cashless transactions between travelers during the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic.
In the first phase, the Pratham App will be launched on a pilot basis at 19 RTC bus depots in the state. Travelers who use this first mobile application and book bus tickets online will get the benefit of discount or cashback.
APSRTC Pratham App Download – Book Bus Tickets Online
The APSRTC Pratham app will enable passengers to book tickets for all buses for others from super luxury services through online mode. The AP State Road Transport Corporation resumed its complex operations without bus conductors from 21 May 2020. Accordingly, passengers were advised to reserve their tickets online for all services. After getting good response from the passengers, RTC management has decided to develop the first mobile application.
Pilot project for Pratham mobile application
Pilot project for the first app launch for online booking of bus tickets will be done at Project 19 depot: –
Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Nellore, Kurnool, Rajamendravaram, Eluru, Srikakulam, Anakapalle, Machilipatnam, Vijayanagaram, Guntur, Amalapuram, Rawalpalem, Chittoor and Tadipatri.

The new first app has been developed by APSRTC after considering the suggestions of online ticket booking agencies. If the passenger uses the app to book tickets then the bus ticket price will be reduced by 5%. The new app will soon be available on the Google play store for download purposes. As soon as the app is listed on the Google playstore, we will update it here.
Bus conductors facilities
This APSRTC will be the first mobile app to facilitate bus conductors in compliance with social distancing norms. In a recent survey conducted by APSRTC, the corporation found that 60-70% of the employees are using smartphones. After this, it will become an easy task for employees to generate bus tickets online. Recently, APSRTC has also instructed its officials to purchase smartphones for the purpose of online bus ticket generation.
