The National Startup Awards 2020 seeks to recognize and reward outstanding startups and ecosystem enablers creating new products or solutions and scalable enterprises. All interested startups, incubators and accelerators can fill the National Startup Award 2020 by applying online at StartupStartup.io.g.in. Participants can check eligibility criteria, read the rules for prizes and win up to Rs. 15 lakh cash prize
The last date for filling the online application form is 31 December 2020.
Startups in India have high potential for employment generation or wealth generation and demonstrate measurable social impact. The measure of their success will not only be a financial benefit for investors, but also a contribution to social well-being.

After successful login, candidates can complete their profile to fill online application form for the startup to participate in the National Awards 2020.

Awards and eligibility for Startups at the National Startup Awards 2020
Cash prize of Rs. One winner will be given 5 lakhs in each sub-inspector. The winner and four runners up will be given opportunities to present their solutions to relevant public authorities and corporates for potential pilot projects and work orders. Winners and runners-up will be given priority for participation in various national and international startup programs sponsored by DPIIT. Full eligibility criteria for startup at National Startup Awards 2020: –
- The unit must be a DPIIT-recognized startup. The unit must present its certificate of incorporation or partnership deed.
- The unit must have a hardware or software product or a process solution that is present in the market.
- The unit must have all applicable business trade-specific registrations (eg: CE, FSSAI, MSME, GST registration, etc.).
- There should have been no default by the entity or any of its promoters or any group of them in the last three years (FY 2016-17, 17-18, 18-19).
- The entity must submit an audited financial statement (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Account) for the last three financial years (financial years 2016–17, 17–18, 18–19).
Awards and eligibility for incubators and accelerators at the National Startup Awards 2020
A cash prize of 1.5 million will be awarded to a winning incubator. Cash prize of Rs. 15 lakhs will be given for a win. The eligibility criteria for incubators and accelerators is given below: –
For incubator: –
- The incubator should be structured as an independent entity — a company, a public trust or a society
- Incubator must be operational for at least two years by January 1, 2020
- The incubator must have successfully graduated a minimum of 15 startups
For Accelerator: –
- Accelerators must be structured as an independent institution — a company, a public trust or a society
- Accelerator must be operational for two years by January 1, 2020
- Accelerator must have successfully graduated a minimum of 10 startup accelerators
