The Haryana government has decided to launch the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Shramik Awagaman Yojana. Now the state government will provide them free Haryana Roadways bus pass and they will not have to pay any amount for the bus journey from their pocket.
The decision to implement the Haryana Roadways Free Bus Pass Scheme for construction workers has been taken at the 19th meeting of the Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (BOCW).

In the meeting, it was decided that the name of this scheme will be “Atal Bihari Vajpayee Shramik Awagaman Yojana”. The cost of workers traveling in public transport (Haryana Roadways buses) will be taken care of by the board. The Deputy Chief Minister directed the labor department officials to prepare the modalities in consultation with the officials of the transport department.
Deputy The CM also directed the officials of the Women and Child Development Department to launch a campaign to spread awareness about sanitary napkins and hygiene among women workers. He directed the labor department officials to explore the possibilities of installing sanitary napkin dispensing machines for women workers.
