We have summer vacations every year for two months. This year our school was closed for summer vacations on 15th may. It was very hot in the plains.
My parents took me to Kashmir. The scenery on the way was very captivating. We put up at a hotel in Srinagar. The hotel was on the bank of river Jhelum.
The weather was very fine there. There were houseboats in the Dal lake. People were enjoying boating. We also hired a visitor-boat and enjoyed ourselves. We saw many shikaras there. The scenery all around attracted our hearts. The cool climate was very pleasing.
We stayed at Pahalgam for 5 days. We also went to Gulmarg. We saw all the important places there. We took many photographs. After a trip of 15 days we returned home. It was really a memorable trip.
