Madhya Pradesh Sanjeevani Mohalla Clinic – free of cost illness check and medicines will be available for free
Sanjeevani Mohalla clinics are going to start in Madhya Pradesh like the Mohalla clinics run by the Aam Aadmi Party of Delhi. Chief Minister Kamal Nath has taken initiative to start MP Sanjeevani Mohalla Clinic to provide affordable and free medical facilities to the people in the state. Initially, these clinics will be opened near the slums of towns and urban areas for expansion of health services. The Chief Minister inaugurated the first Sanjivani Clinic of the state in Nipania area of Indore on Saturday.
The aim of the Chief Minister Sanjeevani Mohalla Clinic is to provide more than 120 medicines to the people for free. Along with this, facility of free screening of diseases will also be made available in these clinics. When Kamal Nath was inaugurating it, he had said that health and education is very important in the lives of people, as far as possible, the benefits of all these should reach the people free of cost.

CM Kamal Nath also said that he would emphasize on increasing health facilities in the urban areas as well as in the remote areas inhabited by the tribals. State Public Health Minister Tulsiram Silavat and some other ministers were also present at the inauguration of Sanjeevani Clinic. The officials said that Sanjeevani clinics will be opened in 208 places in the major towns and cities of the state, for which work has already been started. 88 of these clinics will start by March 2020.
The special thing of MP Sanjeevani Mohalla clinics will be that these health centers will be open from 10 am to 6 pm even on government working days. As you know, if they have been started on the lines of the Mohalla Clinic of Aam Aadmi Party of Delhi, then people will also get the same basic facilities. Apart from this, all people will also get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana or Maha Ayushman Bharat Yojana of Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, the health related scheme of the center will also benefit the citizens.
Facilities, benefits of Sanjeevani Mohalla Clinic
- General OPD consultation in Sanjeevani Clinic will be free
- Pregnant women will be screened and vaccinated for free
- Treatment services for infectious diseases will be available
- Free cancer test
- Free blood pressure test
- Investigation of diseases like diabetes will also be free
According to official sources, a total of 68 types of diseases will be tested for free in Sanjeevani clinics and 120 types of medicines will be given free of cost.
Janani Express and Sanjeevani Express Scheme
Earlier, in the ongoing efforts to provide better health services in Madhya Pradesh, the Janani Express and Sanjeevani Express Yojana was started to replace the defective vehicles. Under the Janani Express and Sanjeevani Express schemes, the work of adding new vehicles in place of 45 ambulances is also being accelerated.
The Chief Minister flagged off 45 ambulances of Janani Express on 15 October. The Chief Minister said that the goal of the state government is to continuously increase the basic amenities of the common man. Our priority is to provide every facility to the citizens. We want to create an environment in which every section is happy and our state becomes happy.
According to official figures, 737 Sanjeevani and 108 Janani Ambulance vehicles are operated in 51 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Out of these, two lakh 50 thousand kilometers have been run or there are plans to convert 50 vehicles out of old vehicles into new vehicles.
