The Election Code of Conduct means those instructions of the Election Commission which every party and its candidate has to follow till the election is over. Along with the announcement of election dates in the states, the Code of Conduct of Election in that state also comes into force. As soon as the election code of conduct comes into force, there are several restrictions on the State Government and Administration administration. Government employees become employees of the Election Commission till the completion of the election process. They work under the direction of the Commission under its guidance.
Let us talk about what can not be done after the implementation of the code of conduct?
1. As soon as the code of conduct comes into force, the Chief Minister or the Minister of the state cannot make any announcement to the public. During this period neither the foundation stone nor the Opening nor Bhumi Pujan is performed.
2. Government expenditure will not provide such an arrangement, which will benefit any particular party.
3. During election campaign it is mandatory for any political party and their candidates to get permission from the local officials before using a loud speaker.
4. If any political party, candidate, politician or Supporters want to hold a rally, permission will have to be taken from the police first. So that security can be arranged.
5. In any rally, votes will not be asked in the name of religion.
6. The most important instruction of the Code of Conduct is that the candidates cannot give greed of any kind at any cost. It is often the case that candidates give gifts to voters, including alcohol and money. It is completely forbidden to do that.
7. Government vehicles, government aircraft or government bungalows will not be used for campaigning.
8. On the day of election, candidates cannot show their political party symbol around the polling booth. No one can enter the booth without the valid pass given by the Election Committee.
