The WB Karmo Bhoomi portal online registration / application form is now available on the official website. This WB Karmo Bhoomi State Workforce Tracker is for skilled ITES / IT professionals looking for COVID-19 jobs. All those who have returned from their work place (Karmobhoomi) to West Bengal (Janmabhoomi), can now apply online and find employment opportunities in the state itself.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that on behalf of the West Bengal government, the G.O.W.B. Launches Karmo Bhoomi web portal for IT professionals, returning and looking for job changes due to coronavirus. People can now connect with IT companies of West Bengal through the official website as it will act as a medium between professionals and IT companies in Bengal.
WB Karmo Bhoomi Portal Registration / Application Online
Below is the complete procedure for online registration on the WB Karmo Bhumi portal: –
- First go to the official state workforce tracker (Karmo Bhoomi) portal https://karmabhumi.nltr.org/.
- On the homepage, read the disclaimer and click on the “I Accept” button
- Later, applicants can fill the questionnaire
- Then verify the OTP and complete the West Bengal Karma Bhoomi online application / registration process. Upon completion, a thank you message will appear

On clicking the link to the state workforce tracker at karmabhumi.nltr.org, an IT professional can enter the portal of the IT department. Here they have to enter their details to join IT companies, including key players in the industry.
Since the start of the COVID-19 lockdown, the CM had raised concerns about IT professionals from West Bengal who would return to the state in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. The new portal will help IT professionals immensely.

There are around 700 IT and ITeS companies in Salt Lake Sector V and Rajarhat where about 2.5 lakh people currently work. The IT / ITES sector has welcomed the move as it will help in maintaining a profession in the state and at the same time IT professionals will also get a better opportunity to work in Bengal.
