Objectives of UP Parivar Sahayata Yojana
The following are the objectives of the Family Support Scheme.

- Keeping this in view, the Government of India has formulated the Rashtriya Parivar Sahayata Yojana scheme under the National Social Assistance Program (NSAP) under the Ministry of Rural Affairs.
- The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to families below the poverty line (BPL) families in which the main earning person has died and no one is earning.
- Under the scheme, the bereaved ensures a one-time dues of Rs 20,000 to 40,000 to the family. The scheme will provide a support to poor families.
Benefits of Rashtriya Parivar Sahayata Yojana
The National Family Assistance Scheme has many benefits. Some of which are as follows:
- Under this scheme, families living below the poverty line are paid Rs 20,000 to 40,000 as compensation.
- Although earlier this amount was only 20,000, but in the year 2013, the government has increased this amount.
- With the financial assistance provided under this scheme, the family can raise the means of livelihood.
- The lump sum amount is deposited in the bank account of the applicant under the scheme.
- The amount is provided to the applicant within 45 days from the application.
Eligibility Criteria for Rastriya Parivarik Labh Yojana
To avail the National Family Benefit Scheme, it is necessary to have the following eligibility.
- To get the benefit of this scheme, the applicant should be a Below Poverty Line living person.
- The applicant receiving the benefit of the scheme should be above 18 years of age and below 60 years of age.
- To apply under this scheme, the annual income of the applicant in urban areas should not exceed 56 thousand rupees.
- With this, the annual income of the applicant’s family applying in rural areas should not exceed Rs 46,000.
