More than 3 million migrant workers have returned to Uttar Pradesh due to coronavirus. These returned migrant workers have no means of employment. Keeping this in mind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started the Uttar Pradesh Self-Employment Campaign on 26 June 2020.
Under this campaign, more than one crore people will be provided employment in Uttar Pradesh and the state government. The main objective of this scheme is to provide employment as well as to promote entrepreneurship and mobilize industrial and other organizations to promote employment. Under this scheme, the government will provide loans to entrepreneurs along with providing employment.
When was the Uttar Pradesh Aatm Nirbhar Employment Campaign launched and who participated in it?
The Rozgar Abhiyan has been launched by the Central Government and the State Government on 26 June 2020. This scheme has been launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi through video conferencing. Video conferencing included Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji and a lot of Union and State Ministers. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will also interact with the villagers of 6 districts of Uttar Pradesh. This interaction will be done through Common Service Center and Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
