The Uttar Pradesh government has launched the UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana Portal. If interested beneficiaries of the state want to apply to brighten their daughter’s future, they can apply online by visiting the official website mksy.up.gov.in. CM Yogi Adityanath will make an official announcement of the UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana on the occasion of Diwali. As the people of the state were facing lot of difficulty in applying, the facility of an online portal to fill the online application form has started.
Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana (MKSY)
Under the Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the UP government will provide an amount of Rs. 15,000 in 6 installments ranging from birth of daughters to graduation as financial aid, so that girls have no problem of money for studies. This financial assistance will be given to the girls who are born after 1 April 2019. Apply online for MKSY on the official website mKSy.up.gov.in.

In Kanya Sumangala Yojana, only two girls of a family will be given benefit if a woman has twins in the next delivery, the girl will be allowed to benefit as the third child. If a woman has a girl from the first delivery and the second delivery is applicable to two twins in the benefit family. Under this scheme, the maximum size of the beneficiary family should be two children. The annual income limit of the girl’s family under this scheme should not exceed three lakhs. The total budget of Kanya Sumangala Yojana has been kept at Rs. 1200 crores Rs.

The Uttar Pradesh government will include 96 lakh families in the MKSY scheme. Each beneficiary will get Rs 15,000 in Kanya Sumangala Yojana. MKSY financial assistance will be provided in 6 installments. In the UP Sumangala scheme, the beneficiary’s bank account should be in a nationalized bank, and the bank account should be linked to the Aadhaar card, only then the beneficiary’s daughters will get the benefit.

Kanya Sumangala benefits in 6 Categories
- Categories 1 – If a girl is born after 1 April 2019, then she will be given 2000 rupees once.
- Categories 2 – If a girl is fully immunized and she is born after 1 April 2018, she will get 1000 rupees at a time.
- Categories 3 – If IIFA girl has taken admission in Standard First in the current year, then she will get 1000 rupees at a time.
- Categories 4 – If a girl has taken admission in Standard 6th in the current year, she will get Rs 2000 for one time.
- Categories 5 – If a girl has taken admission in standard 9th in the current year, she will get Rs 3000 at a time.
- Categories 6 – If a girl child has taken admission in any bachelor’s degree or diploma in the current year, she will get Rs 5000 at a time.
Objective of Kanya Sumangala Scheme
The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance for providing higher education to the girls of the state. To change the negative thinking of people who consider girls as a burden, the government is launching the Kanya Sumangala scheme. To make the future of girls brighter and prevent feticide and make the girls of Uttar Pradesh self-reliant, the UP Government has launched the UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana.

How to apply for UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana at mksy.up.gov.in
Interested beneficiaries who wish to apply under this scheme should follow the method given below and make their daughter’s future bright.
First stage registration
- First of all, the applicant has to visit the official website of the Department of Women and Child Development.
- After visiting the official website, the home page will open in front of you. On this home page you will see the option of Citizens Services Portal.
- You have to click on this option and then a new page will open in front of you. On which you have to register. On this page, you will find the option of consent below.
- After this a new page will open on which you will see a form.
- All the information asked in this form has to be filled. Then you have to verify by putting the correct OTP.
- After entering the correct OTP, you will be registered and then as soon as you are registered, you will get a user ID.
Second step login
- After that, you have to login through user ID and password. After successful registration of the applicant, you will get a girl registration form.
- Then you have to fill all the information related to the girl child.
- After filling all the information, all the documents have to be uploaded and then finally click on submit button.
How to apply offline for MKSY
Interested beneficiaries of Uttar Pradesh who want to apply offline under this scheme can get the free application form at the Block Development Officer, SDM, DPO office, BDO or on the departmental website of Kanya Sumangala Portal. After this, the District Education Officer will upload the online application received from various authorities. In this way, you will be able to apply offline under the Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana.
