Identification of children of laborers

This scheme is important because UP is among the states which has more number of cases related to child labor. Thus, the Yogi Adityanath-led UP government has decided that the cash transfer under the new scheme will be conditional, ie, given only on meeting the prescribed conditions.

The UP State Government has set a target to start a phase-wise employment program for workers in the state by 15 June 2020. Yogi Adityanath has directed the Divisional Commissioners to review the development works in the districts to check progress till the COVID-19 lockdown. These officers will also check how much work is left in each district. The District Magistrates will then be directed to prepare a plan to carry out these tasks on a priority basis.

The CM has also directed that the central and state government’s development plans should be implemented on one side, while on the other side, the laborers and laborers should be provided employment. This will help in the “Navnirman (reconstruction)” of the entire Uttar Pradesh state.

Eligibility of the scheme –
