Highlights of BJP’s manifesto for Jharkhand elections
The manifesto released by Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister in BJP Party and senior BJP leader for Jharkhand elections, includes the following points: –
- To provide loans to farmers, Rs. 3 lakhs with easy repayment options. Credit limit of cooperatives will be increased to Rs 200 crore.
- To provide a mobile handset to the farmers
- Construction of 70 new monolithic model residential schools
- Financial assistance will be provided to school students for their studies which are from backward class and poor families. Each student of class 9th and 10th will get Rs 200 and students of class 11th and 12th will get Rs 7500 as scholarship.
- It is promised to put at least one member of the families in the BPL category if the state comes to power again.
- Under the Mukhya Mantri Krishi Ashirvad Yojana, the government will provide Rs 5,000 to a maximum of 5,000 farmers every year.
- If the BJP comes to power again, 5000 farmers will be sent abroad to study about the latest farming techniques.
- Jharkhand Tribal Empowerment Institute will be set up to solve the problems of tribal people and make welfare plans for them.
- Loans up to Rs 5 lakh will be sanctioned for self-employment and also for the tribals running women’s self-help groups.
- The BJP will provide a one-time grant of Rs. 50000 to promote tribal arts and languages
- Necessary steps will be taken to end the menace of human trafficking
- Generating employment opportunities for local youth
- One lakh sakhi mandals (centers for the welfare of women) will come up within the next five years. Women get Rs.1 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh support to set up new startups.
- The State Sports Talent Honor Mission will be established to promote sports.
