Speech on Music and Its Importance – 1

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen – Welcome to this grand concert!

It is a great honor for me to host this concert where such great musicians and artists are going to share the stage. Needless to say, this evening is truly memorable and never one before. So tighten your seat belt and get ready to be a part of this dreadful evening.

However, before our guests arrive and we welcome, please allow me to give a short speech on music and its importance. I am a big-time lover of music myself and cannot stop myself from being a part of an evening of such great festivities, especially when I get to play host.

I should quote Webster’s New World Dictionary, where music is defined as “the art of combining tones to create expressive composition”; Any rhythmic sequence of pleasing sounds. “But I believe that music is only as much as music is everywhere around us and can be found anywhere, especially in the lap of nature.” You have heard birds chirping, running in water, rustling of tree leaves and flying in the air – everything has music and is a gift of God. When we hear these natural sounds our mind becomes calm and we are more at peace. In the lap of nature, we forget all our worries and leave them far behind. Music helps us to come to terms with ourselves and find our real self.

It is a great means of expressing our feelings for the other person and helps us win them over. Is not it? It is one of the finest forms of art. And like other forms of art, music requires great technical and creative skills, including the power of imagination. Just as dance is a form of artistic expression through bodily movements and painting that requires the finest strokes of a brush, music is composed of various sounds in harmony. Music pleases our senses, for example, what a fragrance is to our noses, a grand spectacle is to our eyes, a brilliant touch to our skin, a fantastic dish is to our palate, so music is our Is for the ears!

Plato, a great Greek philosopher, once said that music should be an essential part of education. In his plan of education, he emphasized three subjects, viz.

  1. Mathematics for the development and training of our brain;
  2. Gymnastics for the development and training of our body;
  3. And last but not least, music to feed our souls!

Therefore, music helps us to connect with our real self, which is definitely our soul and while tuning into good, soothing music, we begin the soul’s inner journey.

With this I conclude my speech and now that our chief guest as well as the performers have come, I will request my event manager to kindly come to the stage to bid farewell.

Thank you all for being such a patient listener!

Honored guests, respected principals, vice principals, teachers and my dear students – a warm welcome to all of you!

I am Vaidehi Kushwaha from the Department of Arts and Standards (XI) – happy to host our school’s 12th annual celebrations. I am sure all of you are excited like I am watching the performance and enjoying the gala time. In fact, I also can’t wait to start the program. But before all this, I express my gratitude on behalf of our Chief Guest on behalf of the entire school for accepting my invitation and coming to the ceremony with their proper attendance. I would request my esteemed principal to please come on stage and pay respect to his guest.

Friends, a big round of applause for them! Now, we will request our guest of honor and principal to address our students and say a few words (… and they will make a brief speech).

Now I will request everyone to allow me to give a brief speech on music and its importance because today is Music Day. So I want to talk a few lines about it so that it can talk about its relevance and importance in our lives.

Friends, uses different sounds to create music patterns! These patterns are so powerful that they arouse feelings and emotions in the hearts of the listeners and bring them instant joy. Good music helps in uplifting our souls, alleviating our worries and making us come to this world. With music our life becomes musical and we begin to enjoy the harmony, rhythm and resonance of the resonance. There are different types of music, such as:

  • Classic
  • Hip Hop
  • Jazz
  • Reggae
  • Sad, etc.

Now let us know what is its importance in our life:

It is an excellent medium for pastime

Music gives you a permanent solution to eliminate boredom from your life. When you listen to music, there is no realization of how time is simple. If you’re sitting idle and haven’t got anything to do, switch to music for a while – you’ll be energized again and feel rejuvenated.

It opens up many career opportunities

If you are good at playing a musical instrument or even singing for that subject, then you will have ample employment opportunities for yourself in the music industry. You just need to know how to make your way.

A powerful way to express your feelings

Music is a strong medium to help express your feelings. Whether it is vocal or instrumental – every form of music is filled with feelings and emotions, which you cannot express in plain, general terms.

In the end, I just want to say that it doesn’t matter whether we know how to play an instrument or not – what we hear has the potential to improve the quality of our lives. It also helps us to convey the message of peace and brotherhood among nations. So my request would be to make music your permanent companion and “not make music a war”.

Thanks!

Speech on Music and Its Importance – 3

Hearty congratulations to one and all – our esteemed music gurus and my dear friends!

It gives me great pleasure to announce that our batch has successfully completed one year. Initially, I was a little apprehensive whether I was taking the right decision by joining under Mr. Vidyarthi Kumar to learn music. – Our music guru, but soon all my doubts disappeared in the air when classes started. Now I am a proud student of our Guru and I have learned a lot in the whole journey of one year. My most favorite instruments are the guitar and the tabla – yes even though these two instruments are different, I have learned to play them very easily. I can also sing well and develop a good knowledge of all ragas and notes.

Over a period of one year, I have grown into a full-fledged performer and gained the confidence to perform on stage. All thanks to our mentor!

On this auspicious occasion, I would like to give a bouquet of flowers and a small dumpling to my Guru on behalf of the entire students. Secondly, with the proper permission of all of you, I want to give a speech on music and its importance. I hope you all allow me.

So let me start here!

Needless to say, music is my life and adds substance to it. I can unconsciously say that I eat music, I drink music, I sleep music and what not! It runs in my very blood. Trust me, this is not an exaggeration! If I were to describe music in one line, I would say that it is the sum of some sounds that make some kind of pattern. This pattern is so strong that it provokes feelings and emotions in the listener’s heart and produces joy and excitement or euphoria.

It is an art of making sense of sound, which helps to express thoughts and feelings through these elements of music, rhythm, harmony, resonance and time. Lyrical music means the coming together of words and sounds in harmony.

With the help of musical instruments and vocals, there is melody sound as well as the creation of vocals in the same ongoing raga or more (harmony). It is an organized melodious sound in succession that helps to create the structure of music in unity, continuity and harmony.

This very harmony of music produced through musical instruments and voice helps us reach a sublime state, just as we have Sufi music. Our ears are happy to hear this form of music. We can produce music with the help of various instruments falling into different categories, such as:

  • Stringed Instruments
  • Percussion Instruments
  • Keyboard Instruments
  • Wind Instruments
  • Bowed Wings

Finally, I just want to say that sublime music is really powerful as if this nature uplifts our soul, nourishes us and helps us feel good from within. The resonance of the sound calms our sensations and instantly pleases us – this is what nature does to us, too! Good music tempts us and then there is no escape from it. Thus, I want to say that music is my first love and always will be because it shapes me as a person and brings out the best creativity in me.

It’s all from me, thanks!

Speech on Music and Its Importance – 4

Respected classroom teacher and my dear students – hearty congratulations to all of you!

I am Geeta Puri – standing in front of all of you to give a speech, for which my theme is music and its importance. I cannot thank you enough for giving me this speech topic because I am a music enthusiast and cannot imagine my life without it. Needless to say, I can talk endlessly on this subject, but I must hold back my feelings and talk about it impartially.

Friends, I believe that music is the greatest creation of man, which helps us to express our innermost feelings in the most powerful way; Without speaking It touches our soul and communicates a raga in our heart. The influence of music on us makes a clear distinction between humans and animals. It is the sublime power of music that it breaks all geographical boundaries and helps people come together regardless of their different social, political, geographical and cultural backgrounds.

A lot can be said about music and it is one of the important fields of study in the field of religion and culture. In fact, I describe it as a sublime power that knows no religion and no discrimination on the basis of caste and creed; It gives equal happiness to all and helps us to connect with God by taking our soul to another world. To an extent, music also helps to establish peace and promote international brotherhood.

Music also has the power to heal our wounds and binds people around the world together. For this reason, music is considered an instrument of peace that helps to deal with situations of unrest and chaos. Imagine yourself in a situation where you fought with your close friend or partner and what if he plays some good music for you! Won’t your heart melt You cannot forgive a person easily, but your mind will gradually come to peace and the negative emotion will subside.

Whether you are a music enthusiast or not, if you were to express your feelings of love, anger, happiness or passion – the best medium would be music. It is often said that when language fails, the best recourse is music. Believe in the power of music and you will be able to express your innermost feelings more effectively and with much greater magnitude.

Do you know that there is a certain type of music that doctors recommend to their patients? You know why? It is simple because music has the power to heal and soothe our soul. Fall in love with it and trust me that your life will change for good. You will never be disappointed and never look back.
