Snehapoorvam Scholarship 2023
Snehapoorvam Scholarship is for orphans of the state. In this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance to the orphaned children who are living in the family, with the support of their relatives, friends or community. The main objective of this scheme is to find orphaned children, provide them financial help, social security, basic education, social integration and nutrition of the most vulnerable groups. The process of filling the application form for the scheme will begin in June 2020.
Eligibility criteria
- The child who has lost his mother or father or both
- The student must study from class I degree or children under 5
- A child should belong to BPL family
- If the child belongs to APL family, the annual income of the applicant family should not exceed Rs. 20000 in a rural area and Rs. 22,375 in urban area.

Benefits of Scholarship
- Children below 5 years: Children below 5 years can get financial assistance of Rs 300 per month.
- Class 1 to 5: The benefit of Rs 300 per month for children studying in classes 1 to 5.
- From class 6th to class 10th: Rs. 500 per month is given from class 6th to 10th.
- Class 11th and 12th: For the children of class 11th and class 12th, the benefit of Rs 750 per month.
- Degree / Vocational Courses: Rs.1000 per month for a student studying in degree / vocational courses.
How to Apply Snehapoorvam scholarship
To apply for this scheme, students who are studying in class one to one can submit the application form to the Aided / Head of Government along with the mandatory documents attached herewith. Institutions (schools and colleges) before 31 October. After this the head of the school / college / institute will verify the application and submit it to the Executive Director, Kerala Social Security Mission through the portal. Children who are under 5 years of age can submit the application directly to the Executive Director, Kerala Social Security Mission through the respective child welfare committees. - Click on the “Application Form” option available in the menu bar from the home page of the website
- From the open page search “Snehapoorvam application form (for under 5 years)”
- Click on the “View” option given in the opposite column.
- The application form will appear on the screen, download it or take a print out.
