Today we have gathered here on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This is a special and rare occasion when we celebrate two causes. First, it is the birth of Sardar Patel, the Iron Man of India and secondly, we celebrate the integrity of India, as Sardar Patel envisioned.

As we all know that Sardar Patel was a freedom fighter who later became the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of independent India. It is actually a small fraction of the huge personality of the man.

Sardar Patel’s most popular and acclaimed work is his follow for small states to accept India’s dominance. He unambiguously wanted a united India; He therefore worked tirelessly to make the princely states accept Indian dominance. Even if he displayed ignorance he threatened him with military power. It is purely because of his vision and ability that we breathe in a united India.

Hence his birth anniversary is celebrated with incredible zeal and enthusiasm throughout the country. It is not only his birthday that we celebrate, but also his unity. That is why it is also celebrated as National Unity Day. For those who do not know, I would like to add that in 2014, National Integration Day was started by the Government of India to appreciate the efforts of Sardar Patel in a united India.

His birth anniversary is celebrated in schools / colleges and offices. People / students remember Sardar Patel’s contribution to the freedom struggle and in the integration of post-independence India.

I hope you all know that special programs on Sardar Patel Jayanti are organized at the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat. Many programs are organized at the Statue of Unity in which the local population, tourists, and government officials and politicians take part.

Along with the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, Run for Unity is also organized at various places across India to celebrate the cultural and religious unity of the nation. The race is usually in the form of a marathon involving participants from various sectors of society.

I would like to add further that the run for unity reminds us of Sardar Patel’s commitment to national unity and compromise. I request all of you to celebrate this Sardar Patel Jayanti with extraordinary zeal and enthusiasm and also remember the great efforts of the individual in keeping India independent, progressive and united.

Good morning respected teachers, my dear friends and other honored guests. My name is Vidyut Raj. I have been working here for 6 years and have been a part of the celebration of every event.

I once again feel honored to address all of you on some such occasions of national importance. I believe that most of you may already know that today is the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

He was a veteran freedom fighter who later became the first Deputy Prime Minister when India attained independence on 15 August 1947. He still has great admiration for an unbroken India as well as Indian political and administrative circles for laying the foundation. A modern all India services.

Therefore, his birth anniversary on 31 October is celebrated not only in schools but in administrative offices across the country.

The statues of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, present at various places across the country, were cleaned, garlanded and offered flowers. People gather at the statue and remember his incomparable intelligence and unswerving attitude towards national integration.

However, the day is not a public holiday and schools, colleges and offices remain open as normal working days. Nevertheless, it takes time for people to remember some of Sardar Patel’s extraordinary qualities and his rigorous decision-making skills for the benefit of the nation.

Good morning everyone, respected chief guest, respected principal, teachers and my dear friends, today I am going to talk about a leader who played all this in India’s freedom struggle, which is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Now, I would like to start my speech.

Introduction

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a strong leader, an ambitious personality. The word “Sardar” means a chief, a leader. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was one of the leading figures in the freedom struggle of India. He was the first Home Minister of India and the first Deputy Prime Minister. People called him the Iron Man of India (Lohpurush). Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was born on 31 October 1875 in Nadiad village, Gujarat. Was childhood spent in the rural areas of Gujarat? His father’s name was Jhaverbhai Patel who was a farmer and his mother’s name was Ladabai.

He passed his matriculation examination at the age of 22. He spent many years away from his family and home to complete his education. In the early years, he practiced law as a successful and skilled lawyer. In 1909, the wife of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Jhaverba was hospitalized in Bombay for a cancer operation. Despite successful surgery, he died in hospital. When he received the news of his wife’s death, he was in the middle of a trial in court and is said to have read the news of his wife’s death, put it in his pocket and continued the trial in the courtroom. He was very passionate and firm about his work. At the age of 36, he went to England for his further studies and completed a 30-month course and returned to India and became the most successful barrister in Ahmedabad.

After winning elections in 1917, he became the Sanitation Commissioner of Ahmedabad and later joined and supported Mahatma Gandhi and his Satyagraha movement. After independence in the Congress Presidential election, Patel stepped in favor of Nehru at Gandhi’s request and played a key role in the integration of princely states into the Indian Union, hence he was called as the unifier of India.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel died on 15 December 1950 at the age of 75 at Birla House, Mumbai. After his death, in 1991 he was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor. In 2014, his birthday was celebrated on 31 October as “National Unity Day” (National Unity Day).

He is still remembered by his work and contribution to the freedom struggle of India.
