The JDA civic body is confident of selling its plots as it is receiving tremendous response from residents for the proposed Shiv Vihar housing scheme. In that particular housing scheme, about 346 plots are proposed to be developed. The civic body has received more than 42,000 applications so far. The lottery for the scheme will be held on 5 February. JDA has fixed the reserve price of Rs 25,000 per sqm in this scheme.
The size of the plots between 45 square meters to 220 square meters will be developed in the colony. It is located on a 200-ft road connecting the estuary and Gopalpura Road. The move is expected to boost revenue which will be used for infrastructure development. As the market situation improved, JDA filled its coffers after auctioning of plots in its old scheme.
