Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana is an initiative taken by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Planning implementation by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs as a nodal department at the central level, trained as a nodal agency at the national level, MFPs for the state nodal agency at the state level and district collectors play a very important role at the ground level. For the financial year, the total budget and action plan for the year 2019-20 is Rs 112.42 crore for the purchase of MSP, infrastructure development, and Van Dhan Development Program.

Implementation of the scheme
- The selection of tribal youth for training under Van Dhan Kendra scheme will be done by TRIFED with the help of Self Help Group (SHG).
- Under Van Dhan Yojana, a total of 3000 forest wealth centers will be established in tribal districts across the country.
- Self-help groups of 10 ethnic groups will be formed in each center, each group will consist of 30 members.
- Members of the leadership group of the self-help group will sell their products in their state and also outside the state. For which training and technical assistance will be provided by TRIFED.
Benefit from the scheme
- Under this scheme, in the Van Dhan Vikas Kendra, the youth of the tribal class are found in the Van Dhan Eamli, Mahua flower storage, cleaning of fennel and other minor forest products such as honey, brushwood, canes, tussers and various types found in tribal areas. Training related to training and marketing of herbs maintenance will be given. This will increase the efficiency of tribal youth.
