Eligibility criteria for RTE UP Admission 2020-21
- Any student belonging to SC / ST / PwD / category can apply
- The child of a widow or orphan can apply
- Students whose annual income is less than Rs 1 lakh, they can also apply

RTE UP Admission 2020 Application Process
- Browse the official website of Basic Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh
- From the home page of the website, you have to click on “Online Application/ Student Login“
- Click on “New Student Registration” option from the open page
- Enter details such as registration form such as district, city, applicant’s name, mobile number, gender, date of birth and caption code
- Click the “Register” option next to the captcha code
- Note the registration number and click on the “Complete the form” option
- Now enter father’s name, mother’s name, alternate mobile number, ID (not with address), current address and ward
- Upload all the documents listed above
- Click on the “Click here to upload all images” option
- Select the school and click on save option
- See all the details you entered in the form
- If you need to change a description, click on Edit option and make changes
- If you do not need to change any details, click on “Lock and Final Print” option
- Click on “Final Print” option to take a print out of the form

- From the home page of the website, you have to click on “Student Application Status”
- Choose your district and enter registration ID
- Click on the “Search” option and the status will appear on the screen
Student Selection Process for RTE UP Admission 2020-21
- The applicant will be selected on the basis of lottery result which will be done at the district level.
- Random lottery number will be given to each candidate
- In order of lottery number, students will be allotted schools based on their choice
