Government of Odisha Mission facility for tribals to improve services like safety and security, health, hygiene and food provisions in hostels operated by SC / ST department
To ensure the quality of basic facilities in tribal hostels, the Government of Odisha has introduced mission facility. In this campaign, Govt. Services like safe building, functional toilets, safe drinking water, proper kitchen and food will be improved in the hostel managed by the SC / ST department. This scheme will help the students to focus on their studies.
SC / ST Department has signed 2 MoUs with Quality Council of India (QCI) and Akshara Foundation for effective implementation of mission facility in Odisha. This facility scheme will guarantee quality services in the provisions of safety and security, health, hygiene and food for prisoners.
Mission Suvidya will be in line with the objectives of the 5T initiative of the Government of Odisha. The move will have manifold impact in the overall quality of education in the state.
Odisha Mission Suvidya to Improve Safety and Security & More. in SC / ST Hostels
State government. Odisha has launched a mission facility to bring qualitative changes in the housing facilities offered to students in SC / ST hostels. The Odisha Mission Facility has a maximum standard for ensuring and maintaining quality with the aim of obtaining ISO certification. As per the MoU signed, QCI will undertake comprehensive evaluation and evaluation of all hostels under the SC / ST department. This will help in improving the standard and quality of hostels for obtaining ISO certification.
The Akshara Foundation, a well-to-do non-governmental organization (NGO) working on quality education, will now collaborate with the SC / ST department. To improve the learning outcomes of students. Akshara Foundation has developed specific education programs for school children, classroom / hostel library programs and digital learning solutions. More than 2 lakh students in primary classes in schools under SC / ST department. Will benefit in the first phase.
More than 5.7 lakh students study in 6500 tribal hostels. Mission Suvidya will provide a soothing environment to all the prisoners in these hostels. Government of Odisha These tribal hostels are facing criticism over reports of teenage pregnancy. During 2009-18, there were at least 17 cases of teenage pregnancy and 14 cases of mental harassment from schools and hostels managed by the SC / ST department.
On the occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) and the Tribal Development Cooperative Corporation Odisha Limited (TDCCOL). This MoU has been signed to ensure market linkage for many products offered by tribal artisans and tribal entrepreneurs in the state.
