The common scholarship portal, developed by the Electronics and IT department, will be launched in January 2020 for the benefit of meritorious students
The Odisha State Government has decided to start a new Common Scholarship Portal (www.odishascholarships.gov.in) for students. Now all the meritorious students will be able to apply online to avail Chhatravati benefits. Odisha State Scholarship Portal is going to be developed as a single digital platform for all scholarship schemes. This website will be maintained by Odisha Computer Application Center (OCAC).
This Odisha State General Scholarship Portal will provide an easy to use interface to the meritorious students to apply for all scholarships at one place. According to the Department of Higher Education, OCAC is going to provide modules in a common portal for data analytics and blockchain to help departments take data based on policy decisions.

It is expected that the general scholarship portal for students will go live from January 2020.
Odisha State General Scholarship Portal
Government of Odisha OCAC has been asked to complete the development, testing and trial run of the Common Scholarship Portal prior to launch. The official portal will be functional on www.odishascholarships.gov.in. The Aadhaar certified e-KYC process will be explored to ensure authentic disbursement of scholarship amount to students.
State government. Has decided that the Pre-Metric Unified District Information System of Education (UDISE) of Odisha Primary Education Program Authority (OPEPA) and Odisha School Education Program Authority (OSEPA) are used and the Post of Student Educational Management System (Siemens) -Metric database will be used. To develop a comprehensive “student registry” system by OCAC.
Both these departments will take necessary steps to provide an application program interface for real-time sharing of data with the scholarship portal. Accordingly, to ensure the safe use of student data, OCAC will define a data sharing protocol.
Odisha’s general scholarship portal will also be integrated into iFMS. This will be done to ensure end-to-end scholarship scholarship disbursement process without any human intervention. The Student Registry can be used by the School and Mass Education Department to give many other benefits such as financial incentives to school students for purchasing by-cycles.
The benefit of meritorious students from the families of farmers will also be integrated with the Farmers Assistance Portal for the Livelihood and Income Promotion (Kaliya) scholarship scheme launched by the government in February this year.
Login or register for scholarship portal Odisha
The portal has not been launched yet, the exact process step by step will be presented by us when the portal starts. Some of the basic steps that you need to follow to register for the portal are:
- First of all, to register yourself you need to open the official web portal
- Then you need to find the new user registration link from the home page of the website
- Click on the link and then you need to enter the details asked on the screen such as your personal details, address, contact details and many more
- Verify your details and upload the necessary documents like your recent passport size photo, scanned signature, caste certificate etc.
- Submit the registration form and remember your login ID and password.
