The new National Education Policy was introduced by our government to replace the 32-year-old education policy. We will introduce you to all the changes that are happening with the decision of a new education policy by the government.
- NEP 2020 aims to make India a “global knowledge superpower”.
- The Cabinet has also approved the renaming of the Ministry of Human Resource Development to the Ministry of Education.
- The NEP has been approved by the Cabinet which is only the third major reform of the education structure in India since independence.
- The first two education policies were introduced in 1968 and 1986.
Salient features of the new national education policy
- Incentives on early childhood care and education or ECCE for a very long time 3 to 6 where arrangements will be made to guarantee all-inclusive access to ECCE at a higher level.
- It takes 4 years for a higher assistant – arts, commerce, science vacant – to get students what they need to take.
- Coding to begin with class 6.
- Music, art, sports will be on the same level.
- Subjects will be selected for extended adaptability and thinking to content, especially in optional subjects

- E-content in regional languages will be created only in Hindi and English.
- Schools have to be carefully prepared.
- The National Educational Technology Forum, NETF, will be framed.
- All State / UT Governments will establish an execution plan to complete all inclusive central education in all primary schools and for all students by grade 3 by 2025.
- NIOS and State Open Schools will likewise offer A, B and C levels that are equivalent to grades 3, 5 and 8 of the appropriate educational system; Supporting instruction programs that are in the ratio of grades 10 and 12; Vocational training courses / projects; And elder proficiency and life-improvement programs.
- The substance of the educational program in each subject will be reduced to the basics of its center – major ideas, ideas, applications and critical thinking.

National Education Policy (NEP) 2020
In the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the connection framework for universities ends in 15 years with an assessment of self-reliance. NEP 2020 encourages expanded use of innovation with value and the National Educational Technology Forum is to be created. The establishment of the NEP 2020 Gender Inclusion Fund outlines the special education sector for disrupted areas and gatherings. The new policy advances multilingualism in two schools and HEs. National Pali Institute, Persian and Prakrit, Indian Institute of Translation and Interpretation will be established. The Ministry of Human Resource Development will henceforth be called the Ministry of Education.
New schooling national eduation policy
The existing 10 + 2 structure will be changed to the 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 structure. This structure will cover the age of 3 to 18 years. The fundamental stages of Years 3 and 2 will include PlaySchool and Grades 1 and 2, the preliminary stages of grades 3 to 5, middle school from 6 to 8 and the secondary stages of grades 9 to 12.
- Fundamental phase- For a very long time 3 to 8 years, the basic phase has been proposed. Stunning play action-based learning will include 3 years of Anganwadi, Pre-school or Regularly called PlaySchool and Kindergarten classes 3 to 6. Considering ages 1 to 2 and ages 6 to 8 Will be included for age. Accordingly, 3 years of pre-school for KG and 2 years of class I and II will be added up to 5 years of instruction. The emphasis will be on improving the language approach and giving instruction through a drama-based and movement-based educational program.
- Initial stage- It is for 8 to 11 or Class 3 to 5. for a very long time. The center will move on to play, disclosure and action-based and association homeroom learning. Until this stage, concentration will remain on improvement of language and numerical abilities according to the psychological advancement of a child. Guidance up to grade 5 will be home language or primary language or neighborhood language. Three bids will be instructed for all bids – and states will choose which ones.
- Center stage – Context from Class 4 to To, the new structure aims to change the instructional method from the existing structure to progressively experiential learning in technical subjects, arithmetic, expressions, sociology and humanities. The focus will be on core learning goals and not on iterative learning.
- Optional phase- This includes classes 9 to 12 or assistants and higher electives as we know them today. Proposed progress at this level involves a multi-disciplinary study, where there will be an option to single out any arrangement of subjects from an accessible structure for understanding. The emphasis will be on more prominent basic reasoning and adaptability, which will allow the youth to choose subjects according to their inclination – also special and expressive.

The changes made in school education are as follows:

Focus on vocational study at school level
In the new education policy, the government will focus on the following things such as:
- Every child must learn at least one vocation and get information about them exposed to many more things.
- Know the occupations related to important commercial crafts, such as carpentry, electric work, metalwork, gardening, pottery, etc., decided by states and local communities during grades 6-8.
- By 2025, at least 50% of learners through the school and higher education system will be at risk for vocational education for which appropriate steps are also taken to enhance teachers’ knowledge
- A 10-day bagless period means internship with local occupational experts such as carpenter, gardener, potter, artist, etc. for a short period of time during classes 6-8 to 10
