Maharasthra Majhe Kutumb Majhi Jababdari Abhiyan – My Family My Responsibility Campaign – volunteers to conduct door-to-door survey

The Maharashtra government is going to launch the My Family My Responsibility campaign from 15 September 2020. This Majhe Kutumb Majhi Jababdari Abhiyan will make a massive effort to reach every household in the state. This will be done to assess the health status of its residents and provide medical assistance and guidance when needed.

This announcement of starting the Mera Parivar Mera Dwaita Abhiyan was made by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on 4 September 2020. The major goals of Majhi Kutumb Maji Jabdari campaign to be done in Phase 1 and Phase 2 are: –

  •     Push volunteers to provide health education to citizens.
  •     Organizing door-to-door meeting.
  •     Measuring people’s body temperature.
  •     To check the oxygen level of the citizens.
  •     Examine other symptoms such as tiredness, sore throat / dry cough, diarrhea, and loss of smell and taste.
  •     Volunteers will also check for co-morbidities and advise people to get a suitable treatment for this.

The campaign will be implemented at the level of Gram Panchayat and Municipal Corporations with the help of elected representatives.

The COVID-19 rally of the state of Maharashtra has now crossed the 9 lakh mark with over 23,350 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. This leads to a record increase and the highest single day spike. The number of active patients is 2.36 lakhs while the recovery rate is 71.03 percent. Between cities, Mumbai saw a spike of 1,910 new cases, taking its tally to 1.55 lakh. With 37 deaths, the toll in the city peaked at 7,869.

To fight against the increasing number of coronavirus cases, the state government has announced the launch of the Mera Parivar Mera Responsibility Door-to-Door campaign from 15 September. In this campaign, volunteers will not be screening the state’s population for COVID-19 symptoms. But also educate people about the symptoms for early detection of the disease. The scheme will cover 2.25 crore families in Maharashtra, which have recorded the highest number of new coronoviruses so far.

Majhe Kutumb Majhi Jababdari Campaign Phase 1 and Phase 2

Maharashtra’s Health Department 2 will launch the campaign in later stages. The first phase of My Family My Responsibility campaign will begin on 15 September 2020 and end on 10 October 2020. The second phase of this campaign will begin on 12 October 2020 and is scheduled to end on 24 October 2020.
