In this phase of change, our teachers need to be upgraded, otherwise we will not be able to educate our future generations in terms of today’s and future. So keeping this in mind, Madhya Pradesh government is going to introduce “MP Steam Syllabus 2020” in all government schools of the state. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. MP will be the first state in the country to implement Steam curriculum. If implemented properly, the state schools will benefit from the MP Steam Scheme.
The next step after the STEAM model of education is a curriculum based on teaching students in 4 specific subjects like Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The STEM curriculum was based on teaching students in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. “MP Steam Syllabus In All Govt Schools” currently requires time to prepare students for the competition. Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has constituted a state level committee for this. The committee is headed by the Principal Secretary of School Education. The department will implement this module as a pilot project in 1,500 schools of the state from this session. To implement this, the department is doing curriculum mapping.
Mp Steam Syllabus In All Govt Schools
Madhya Pradesh will be the first state in the country to implement this module in government schools. This will benefit about one and a half lakh students studying in government schools of the state. The department had visited about 200 officials and teachers to visit schools in South Korea. Teachers will also be trained to teach this course in schools. Till now government-based learning, skill-based learning was being imparted. Now every subject will include project, practical and activity. Now teachers will not only teach books, but will teach children using any topic. If the environment will be taught then it will be developed as a story.
What is Steam Syllabus
Steam is a kind of curriculum, which is slightly different from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The Steam module also includes art. This will give children knowledge of all subjects simultaneously. STEAM Syllabus is formed with the first word of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths subjects. Earlier it was based only on the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, but arts have been added to the school education of Madhya Pradesh.
- Concept – Steam is a concept that increases children’s interest in learning and gives them a platform to be creative. With this, children learn to develop their own understanding instead of intelligent education.
- Method – Steam is the method that tells how to teach, so that the children become comfortable and participate in it. In this, an effort is made to teach them to keep pace with understanding rather than rote.
- Subject – Steam is seen as a course and subject. In which class and what kind of curriculum should be there for the child of which age group. In this, emphasis is mainly on the use of more than theory. Its purpose is to reduce the burden of baby bags.
Description of MP Steam Syllabus 2020
- School Education Department MP Steam Syllabus is all set to start. After completion by STEAM experts from USA, Korea and other countries, (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) module is to be. Started in FY 2020 in private and government schools.
- Teachers will get 1 month before the end of the academic session 2019-20 to conduct interactive sessions with the students. During that period the curriculum and remedial classes will be revised according to the Steam curriculum. The new 2020-21 academic session will introduce colorful puzzles in classrooms, through which children will creatively answer questions related to daily life.
- MP Steam Curriculum will make the learning process interesting as it will have an amalgamation of mathematics and art. The objects around will be used for demonstration and learning purposes. STEAM is a successful education module that develops students’ educational insights in a natural way and identifies their inclinations at an early age.
MP STEAM Syllabus Budget & Implementation
The Department of School Education will have to make moderate amendments to the curriculum and budget provisions to implement “MP Steam Syllabus 2020-21”. In Phase 1, this module will be offered in some schools at the district level across the state, which will be extended later in the next phase based on the results. Tehsil and Block teachers will attend these CLAM workshops at the district level (Tehsil & Block Teacher District Level) and get first hand experience of the new concept.
