The Madhya Pradesh government has launched Ladli Laxmi Yojana in the state. Which is mainly for girls. The main objective of this government scheme is to bring positive changes in social attitudes towards the birth of girls. Ladli Laxmi Yojana in Madhya Pradesh was started by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on 1 April 2007. Seeing the success of MP Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Chief Ministers of other states also launched it in their states. Now the scheme is applicable in six other states besides MP.

MP Ladli Laxmi Scheme Offline Registration

Essential eligibility of Ladli Laxmi Yojana
Before applying for Laadli Laxmi Scheme, candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility:
- The parents of the girl child must be native to Madhya Pradesh.
- Girl’s guardians do not pay income tax to the government.
- In the case of the second girl child, before applying, the parents should have adopted family planning, that means they should be a part of family planning, we have only one girl and one child
- First of all, the first girl child who is born after 1/4/2008, but it will be mandatory to adopt family planning during the second delivery.
- The beneficiary should have regular attendance at the Anganwadi center only then this scheme can be availed.
- In a family where the first child or girl is born, and two twins are born on the second delivery, then in this situation both the twins will get the benefit of this scheme.
- If your family has adopted an orphan girl, you can still take advantage of the scheme by considering her the first girl child, but you must have some proof of adopting that girl
- If the girl’s parents die in an accidental accident, in this case the application can be submitted in the Ladli Laxmi Yojana even till the age of the girl is five years.
- The scheme can be availed even if three girls are born at the time of first delivery.

Features of Ladli Laxmi Yojna 2020
Some of the salient features of the MP Ladli Laxmi Scheme are:
- The scheme focuses on the empowerment of girls and takes an initiative to provide financial assistance to them so that discrimination between boy and girl can be eliminated.
- All girls registered under this scheme are provided with educational expenses to enable their family to send them to school. However, girls who leave school drop out of the scheme. They will not get the benefit of this scheme.
- Financial assistance amounting to Rs. 1 lakh is also given by the government to the applicant’s family for the daughter’s marriage.
- If a girl gets married before the age of 18, then she will not be given Rs 1 lakh under the Ladli Laxmi scheme.
Benefits of Ladli Laxmi Yojana
The Ladli Laxmi Yojana was launched with the objective of laying a strong foundation for the future of girls in India, with the aim of improving the educational and economic status of the families of registered girls to bring positive changes in the views of the society. Apart from this, information about the contribution of the state government is given below:
- The state government buys a National Savings Certificate (NSC) of Rs 6000 in the name of the girl child every year after its birth. The purchase of NSC continues for five consecutive years until the total amount reaches 30,000.
- After this, under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2020, this amount is given to the girls who are registered from time to time according to their age and education.
- If the girl is not married before the age of 18, then she will get Rs. 1 lakh on reaching the age of 21 years. Lump sum amount of Rs.
MP Ladli Laxmi Yojana – Installment Payment
How installments are paid for the amount received under this scheme is as follows:
- First installment: When the girl child takes admission in class 6th, then an amount of Rs 2,000 will come in the bank account.
- Second installment: After this, when the girl enters 9th class, 4 thousand rupees will be given through e-payment.
- Third installment: Rs 6,000 on admission in class 11th
- Fourth installment: On taking admission in 12th class, another installment of Rs 6 thousand will be given.
- Fourth installment: On taking admission in 12th class, another installment of Rs 6 thousand will be given.
- Fifth installment: To get this installment, the daughter has to be 21 years or older with passing 12th standard. The amount of this installment has been fixed by the government of Rs. 1,00,000.
