Due to flooding / overflowing of standing crops of the kharif season of 2019-20, affected farmers due to flooding and overflowing agriculture land have suffered significant damage. In view of this situation, it was decided by the Bihar State Government to give subsidy to agricultural input subsidy to farmers. Under this scheme, subsidy of up to Rs 13,500 will be provided to the farmers.
DBT Bihar Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme will be provided as per the norms prescribed under natural calamities notified by the Government of India and local disasters by the State Government. The Bihar State Government has extended the date of application of the Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme 2020. The date of first application for availing the scheme was till 20 November. But it was increased to 30 November. But this date has also been extended till December 10. Farmer brothers who have not yet applied for Krishi Input Subsidy Anudan Yojana can now apply till 10 December. So far, 21,49,698 farmer brothers and sisters of the state of Bihar have applied for benefits under this scheme.
Krishi Input Subsidy Anudan Yojana Details
This subsidy will be given at the rate of Rs 6,800 per hectare to the farmers with land falling in the Kharif 2019 season due to crops affected by floods / excess rainfall and low rainfall.
This grant is payable to farmers who have not been able to plant any kind of crop in their fields due to low rainfall in this entire Kharif season and have been per field.
Apart from this, for those who have crop loss due to floods / excess rainfall, Rs 6,800 per hectare for rainfed (unirrigated) crop area and Rs 13,500 per hectare for irrigated area and arable land where sand / silt is more than 3 inches , A grant will be given at the rate of Rs. 12,200 per hectare.
This grant will be payable for a maximum area of 2 hectares per farmer.
Farmers will be given a minimum grant of Rs. 1,000 for the cropping area under this scheme.

Some important points of Bihar Krishi Input Subsidy Yojana
To take advantage of the Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme, first of all you need to make sure that your district is declared drought affected or you can go to your block to get information about it.
You will be able to take advantage of the agricultural input subsidy scheme only after the district is declared dry, if your district is not dry and you apply for the agricultural input subsidy scheme, in such a situation your application can be rejected.
Subsidy amount is given through DBT under Krishi Input Subsidy Yojana in which case the money will be sent to your account through Aadhaar card only.
If money is sent through DBT / DBT through Aadhaar card, then in such a situation your Aadhar card should be mapped to NPCI / NPCI and the same Aadhar card should also be linked to your bank account.

Note – Farmers who have already been registered as farmers do not need to re-do Kisan Panjikaran, they can apply online directly for the Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme.
Apply Online for DBT Bihar Krishi Input Subsidy Yojana
- Visit to the website of the Department of Agriculture by your state government. (For example, we are giving information about Bihar)
- For this, you will have to go to the website of Bihar Farmers Agriculture Department and here you will see a menu of “Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme”. As shown below;
- Here you have to click on “Apply“. Then a new page will open in front of you.
- Here you have to fill the 13-digit “Farmer Registration Number” for the application.
- Then the plan form will open in front of you. Fill all the information asked in it carefully.
- And along with this, the farmers have to upload the registration details as well as the application affidavit i.e. “Declaration Form“.
- As soon as the farmer enters all his information, you have to select an affidavit, as soon as you select the affidavit and click on the “Next button” a new page opens in front of you.
- If the farmer has uploaded the mandatory documents, then you have to click on the “Submit” button in the application.
- If this check button will appear black which means any documents you have uploaded have not been uploaded correctly, then you will have to upload that document again and the button will show you the color now you will finalize your application.
- After this, you get the information of the application through SMS / SMS on your registered mobile number.
- After the application, it will automatically send a copy of the application for verification to the Agricultural Coordinator.
Note – At the time of applying under Krishi Input Subsidy Anudan Yojna, farmers will specify their total acreage details in decimals (1 acre = 100 decimals and 1 hectare = 247 decimals).

- Click on click on “Application status” link given on the homepage of the website.
- Select Krishi Input Subsidy Scheme 2019 link.
- Enter the valid application no and proceed to submit.
