Today we have information related to the new scheme launched. Nekar Samman Yojana was launched by Honorable Chief Minister Shri BS Yeddyurappa on Monday, July 6, 2020 in Bengaluru. He announced that the beneficiaries had an annual amount of Rs. 2000 under this scheme. The government is going to transfer the benefits directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. According to the fourth National Handloom Census, Karnataka has 54,789 registered handloom weavers in the state, of which 19744 weavers on the first face will get benefits under the scheme.

Benefits of Karnataka Necker Samman Scheme
Financial help of Rs. 2000 will be given annually by officials to silk, cotton and woolen handloom weavers and other handloom weavers engaged in allied activities. The state government has sanctioned Rs 10.96 crore to provide benefits. Not only this, the government has also approved the amount for one time payment to 1.25 lakh handloom workers.
