Online Apply Jammu & Kashmir Domicile Certificate 2020 at jk.gov.in/jkeservices/

Jammu and Kashmir Administration is inviting online application for Domicile Certificate at jk.gov.in/jkeservices/. The UT government has started the process of distributing domicile certificates to its residents on 27 June 2020. According to the Jammu and Kashmir Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules 2020, all those who have been residing in Jammu and Kashmir for more than 15 years can apply for the certificate. All interested people can now apply for citizen registration and application by filling the Jammu and Kashmir Domicile Certificate online application form 2020.

Children of refugees, Valmikis, displaced, PoK families and children of Kashmiri migrants from West Pakistan settled outside Jammu and Kashmir and family members of central government officials, apart from those who have been living for 15 years, will now also be entitled to domicile. Subsequently, this domicile certificate will be used for government jobs in Jammu and Kashmir.

J&K Domicile Certificate – Eligibility

All those who fall in the above mentioned categories will be eligible for Domicile Certificate in Jammu and Kashmir: –

  • Under the new Jammu and Kashmir domicile rule, all persons and their children who have been living in Jammu and Kashmir for 15 years or who have studied for seven years are eligible.
  • Also, those who appeared in Class 10 or 12 examinations in an educational institution in UT are eligible for domicile certificate.
  • Children of Central Government Officers, All India Service Officers, Public Sector Officers and Central Government Autonomous Bodies, Public Sector Banks, Officials of Statutory Bodies, Central Universities and Recognized Research Institutes of the Center in Jammu for Kashmir Has served. A total period of 10 years will also be eligible for domicile status in Jammu and Kashmir.
  • In addition, all those migrants and their children who are registered with the Commissioner of Relief and Rehabilitation will be given domicile certificate.
  • Children of those residents of Jammu and Kashmir who live outside the Union Territory in connection with employment for occupation or other occupational or occupational reasons have become eligible for grant of domicile status.

The complete procedure to apply online for Jammu and Kashmir Domicile Certificate is given below: –

  • First go to the official website

  • Here applicants can enter the citizen registration details, residential / current address details, permanent address details, mobile number, email ID, login details. Applicant is required to upload passport size scan photo (jpg image) in clear background of size less than 50 KB. Photo size applied in pixels in 591 * 537 px.
  • Applicants can fill it completely in the Domicile Certificate Application Form to complete the registration process.
  • Later, after citizen registration, people can login using the ‘Login ID’ and the generated password.
  • After login, the applicant has to click on the e-services tab in the left menu and then click on the department where he has to avail the service. For example, scholarship schemes under the Social Welfare Department or Domicile Service using the General Administration Department.
  • Accordingly, a link to fill the Jammu and Kashmir Domicile Certificate Application Form will appear.

E-application-cum-issuance of domicile certificate has been developed by Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA). The online domicile certificate is a people-friendly initiative in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The domicile certificate must be issued within a set time frame and any laxity or misconduct on behalf of the issuing authority will invite strict administrative action.

Jammu and Kashmir grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules, 2020

Government. On May 18, Jammu and Kashmir has notified the Grant of Domicile Certificate (Procedure) Rules, 2020. The Act allows non-local people, including non-local government employees to register for domicile certificates. Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) holders and other applicants can apply for issuing online domicile certificate by providing their Aadhaar number. Applicants can obtain domicile certificate through online mode. PRC holders will be able to obtain their domicile certificate through this application without visiting any office.

LG observed that the UT government has taken a people-friendly initiative to provide domicile certificate through online mode in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu also issued e-application-cum-issuance of domicile certificate in Jammu and Kashmir.
