Eligibility for Indira Gandhi Pension Yojana 2020
- The age of application under the old age pension scheme under this scheme should be 60 years or more.
- Under the Widow Pension Scheme, the age of widow women should be more than 40 years and below 59 years.
- Applicants under disability pension scheme should be 80% or more disabled.

How to apply for Indira Gandhi Pension Scheme 2020?
Interested beneficiaries of the country who wish to apply under this Indira Gandhi Pension Yojana 2020 will have to contact the Panchayat and District level offices. You will have to fill the application form by going there. You have to submit the same by filling the application form and attaching all your documents. The urban bodies / gram panchayats will forward the application to the concerned ULB / Janpad Panchayats. The concerned urban body / district panchayats have the right to accept / reject the same.
Types of schemes under Indira Gandhi Pension
- Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS): This scheme was earlier named National Old Age Pension Scheme. The scheme was launched on 19 November 2007. Any BPL applicant who is more than 60 years of age can apply for this scheme. For applicants whose age is between 60 and 79 years, the pension amount is Rs. 500 per month and whose age is 80 years or more, Rs. 1000 per month.
- Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS): The scheme was launched in the month of February 2009. Widowed women who belong to BPL family, whose age is more than 40 years and below 59 years, can apply for this scheme. Applicants get Rs. 300 / – per month as pension amount.
- Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS): This scheme has been launched for a person with a disability who is over 18 years of age with more than 80% disability and belongs to BPL family, can apply for this scheme Huh.
- National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS): In the event of death of the primary person who earns for the family belonging to BPL category, one can apply for this scheme. The family will get a lifetime benefit of Rs. 10000 / -. The primary person earning for the family should be between 18-64 years old.
- Annapurna: Under this scheme, the government will provide 10 kg of food grains free per month to those senior citizens who do not come under the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme.
