The central government is soon going to launch India’s first Aadhaar certified digital farmer database. The Agriculture Minister said that the new master database of farmers will be used to implement farmer related government welfare schemes. In the first Aadhaar Certified Digital Farmer Database 2020-21, there will be consolidation of all types of actual lists of farmers available with the government.
The center is planning to digitalize all its agriculture-oriented schemes and ensure direct purchase prices to farmers. This will be done by launching an Aadhaar-based database, which will also map the landholding of beneficiaries. In the first phase, the database will contain details of 50 million farmers from 9 states. Indian government. The farmer database which is currently available with the central government will be integrated into one. 1 Aadhaar Certified Farmer Database 2020-21 will be created by merging database of beneficiaries of following schemes: –
- Soil Health Card Scheme
- Kisan Credit Card Scheme
- Crop Insurance Policy
- PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme
- Other Agriculture Department Plans
The newly created India First Aadhaar Authenticated Digital Farmers Database 2020-21 will be used as a reference point for all government schemes. Timeline for Aadhaar based farmer database
