Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Mandhan Yojana (PMLMY)
The central government has started online applications for the Pradhan Mantri Laghu Trader Maandhan Yojana 2019 (PM Laghu Vyapari Maan-dhan Yojana). People can apply online for National Pension Scheme for traders and self employed persons at https://maandhan.in/vyapari.
Under this National Pension Scheme, the government will provide Rs. 3,000 / – per month as pension to all traders, retailers and small shopkeepers. Now people can register for the Pradhan Mantri Laghu Trader Maandhan Yojana 2019 (PM-LVM) scheme at the nearest Common Service Centers (CSCs).
About 3 crore small shopkeepers and self-employed individuals can avail the National Pension Scheme launched for traders. This scheme is an extension of Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Man-Dhan Yojana which ensures a fixed monthly pension on attaining the age of 60 years.
People will have to contribute from Rs 55 / – to Rs 200 / – per month to get monthly pension amount of Rs 3000 / -. The Central Government has allocated Rs 750 / – crore for the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Laghu Trader Maandhan Yojana (PM-LVMY).
Registration process for the scheme: –
The NDA government led by Modi ji has introduced the option of online registration for Pradhan Mantri Laghu Trader Maandhan Yojana at https://maandhan.in/vyapari. Now people can apply online or enroll themselves for the Pradhan Mantri Laghu Trader Maandhan Yojana (PM-LVMY) from any Common Service Center (CSC). The complete procedure for Pradhan Mantri Laghu Trader Maandhan Yojana (PM-LVMY) is as follows: –
Through CSC: –
- People can visit their nearest Common Service Centers (CSC) with their Aadhar Card and Bank Savings Account / Jan-Dhan Bank Account Passbook.
- In CSC, your monthly contribution amount will be decided based on your age.
- Make your first monthly contribution to the Prime Minister Small Business Man-Dhan Yojana (PM-LVMY) in CSC itself.
- Enter your signature on the nomination and auto debit mandate.
- After this, your Traders Pension Card will be generated.
- After this, the next contribution will be automatically deducted from the bank accounts.
Online Apply Through Self: –
- Applicant must first visit https://maandhan.in/vyapari.
- After this, the applicant has to click on the existing “Click here to Apply Now” button on the homepage.
- Then you have to click on one of the asked options like “Self Enrollment” and then enter your mobile number and proceed through OTP.

Benefits of Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Mandhan Yojana: –
- On attaining the age of 60 years, a fixed monthly pension of Rs 3,000 per month will be provided.
- It is a voluntary contribution scheme for traders, retailers, small shopkeepers.
- The central government will also pay an amount equal to the contribution.
- The monthly contribution amount will be from 55 to 200 rupees depending on the age of the applicant.
- The pension amount will be provided through Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
To avail this pension scheme, all the wives are advised to fill up the form at the nearest Common Services Center (CSC) at the earliest. All small shopkeepers and retail traders whose annual turnover is less than Rs 1.5 crore will be eligible for the scheme.
Eligibility Criteria for Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Mandhan Yojana: –
- Only traders between the ages of 18 and 40 will be eligible.
- The applicant should not be an existing beneficiary of EPFO, ESIC, NPS, PM-SYM schemes or an income tax payer.
