The responsibility of taking the movement to new heights has been given to Mr. Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Sports (Independent Charge). The 28-member government committee will be headed by Rijiju and will include secretaries of sports, youth affairs, education and many other departments.

The committee also has members of the National Sports Federation, members of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), members of private bodies and several fitness promoters.
