Dhruv Scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development: The Ministry of Human Resource Development is scouting for the 60 most talented children in the country in diverse fields like Maths and Physics and singing and dancing, the first batch to launch the Prime Minister’s Innovative Learning Program (Dhruv Yojana 2019-20) soon. Will form It is an ambitious new scheme aimed at building the skills of talented Indian students from Class IX to XII from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Bangalore headquarters.
This is an ambitious initiative of the Modi government. Its pilot project has been launched from ISRO headquarters, from where recently the country’s inspiring space program including Chandrayaan mission has taken off. Top officials of the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Prime Minister’s Office, including Professor K Vijay Raghavan, the Scientific Advisor to the Prime Minister, are working on the launch framework. The scheme aims to make talented students realize their potential and help them for society. To motivate is to contribute. There will be a total of 60 students, out of which 30 students will be in each field. The students will be selected from 9th to 12th standard in government and private schools.
Prime Minister’s Innovative Learning Program (DHRUV Scheme 2019-20)
PM Innovation Educational Program (DHRUV Scheme 2019-20) – Prime Minister’s New Educational Program – DHRUV was launched from Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) headquarters in Bengaluru on October 10, 2019. The program was launched by Human Resource Development Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank in the presence of K. Sivan, Chairman, ISRO, Wing CDR. Under the pilot program these bright youth will be groomed by masters in their respective fields. The ministry then plans to start the Center of Excellence – Dhruv on the lines of Sochi School in Russia.

Key Features of DHRUV Scheme – Following are the main features of the Dhruv scheme.
- The program is named after the pole star known as the “Dhruva Tara”.
- The main objective of the scheme is to allow students to realize their full potential and contribute to the society.
- The program is to cover two areas, Science and Arts.
- The program is to be launched from ISRO.
- Around 60 students from class 9 to class 12 are selected across the country.
- The program aims to help the nation achieve the goal of a $ 5 trillion economy.
Benefits of ISRO DHRUV Scheme-
Benefits of Dhruv Scheme – DHRUV scheme has many benefits. Which are as follows.
- The first batch of this innovative scheme will include students who are talented in fields ranging from singing and dancing to mathematics and physics.
- Students are being selected on the basis of their performance in national talent search examinations, competitions etc.
- And after these students are selected, the ministry will organize sessions to get these children enrolled in their chosen fields.
- Students will be mentored and nurtured by experts from various fields at centers of excellence across the country to reach their full potential.
- The Dhruv scheme is also set to be expanded to other areas including creative writing.
- This scheme will help the students to infuse their knowledge as well as innovative imagination skills.
- The scheme will help the students to contribute to the socio-economic, environmental and political solutions currently released by the country.
Dhruv plan implementation of Ministry of Human Resource Development-
Implementation of DHRUV Scheme – 60 students have been selected for the first batch under Dhruv scheme. Out of those 60 students, 30 subjects each from science and performing arts have been selected. The plan started with a visit to ISRO. Selected students in Delhi will be mentored by renowned experts. After the tour is successful, the program will conclude on 23 October 2019.
Note – After closing on 23 October 2019, it can now be decided to start the next batch in January 2020. The government has not yet given clear information about the “Dhruv Yojana”. So stay tuned to our website www.readermaster.com for more information.
