The Delhi government has announced a free Wi-Fi scheme in Delhi for the people living in the capital. For which the government has started work to introduce the government scheme to give free Wi-Fi to the people. When the Kejriwal government came to power in the year 2015, there was also a promise of giving people a good free WiFi among the 70 promises made by them.
Delhi government is already providing free Wi-Fi scheme at public places in Delhi in many important public places in the capital, but this time free Wi-Fi scheme 2019 will cover the entire state. In a few months, tenders will be drawn from the Public Works Department for telecom companies for the implementation of this Delhi Government Free Wi-Fi scheme 2019. Apart from this, the government has also named the scheme Delhi Hotspot Model.

All the consumers can get free internet facility (Free Internet Service in Delhi) within the radius of 50 meters of the router. Each user will get up to 15 GB of data every month at a speed of 200 Mbps. 4,000 hotspots will be installed in bus queues, near parks and mohalla clinics, community venues, markets or buildings, and in addition to bus bases to ensure free internet service to all.
According to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the internet speed will be 100 to 150 Mbps in this scheme and people will get data speeds of up to 200 Mbps in some places and around 22 lakh people will be able to get internet simultaneously from the network of WiFi scheme in whole of Delhi. Will be available.
In Delhi Hotspot Model Scheme 2019, about 11 thousand hotspots will be made and about 1 lakh 40 thousand CCTV cameras will also be installed.
About 150 to 200 users will be able to use the free internet service in a hotspot. For which the government has also allocated about 100 crores. Separate IT department will be created to prevent any kind of data leakage or breach by using the free Internet service of the people.
Delhi free Wi-Fi plan 2019 implementation
To provide free Wi-Fi (Delhi govt. Free Internet scheme) 100 hotspots will be installed in every assembly constituency. Apart from this, hotspots will also be installed for free Wi-Fi at all 4 thousand bus stops in Delhi. In this way, 11 thousand hotspots will be installed in the entire Delhi in the first phase.
How to get facility
In order to avail the Free Internet Scheme at Public Places in Delhi, the necessary process has to be completed after which an OTP number will come on people’s mobile. That one-time password will help connect to nearby hotspots. Similarly, you will get different OTP numbers every month.
Apart from this, Kejriwal government will also install 2-2 thousand additional CCTV cameras in each assembly constituency at a cost of 600 crores.
