The cabinet also approved 4G spectrum on administrative allocation.

Objective of BSNL Voluntary Retirement Scheme

The scheme has been announced for employees who have attained the age of 55 years and 31 years within the organization. This move of the government has been welcomed by the employees of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, but the employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited have opposed the VRS.
