Under this scheme, Lump sum as a financial assistance for the marriage of a maximum of two daughters to families living below the poverty line of SC / ST, whose income limit is Rs 15,000 / – per annum or belonging to BPL family. Up to Rs 50,000 / – will be provided. Maximum two daughters of widows of general category BPL family will also be provided a lump sum of Rs 50,000 / – as financial assistance for their marriage. Since Uttarakhand Shadi Hetu Anudan Yojana currently relies on a limited budget, payment is possible only on the basis of priority list based on budget availability.
Vivah-Shadi Anudan Yojana Uttarakhand
The government of Uttarakhand has launched a new scheme for the minority daughters of the state. This scheme has been named by the Government of Uttarakhand as the ‘Uttarakhand Marriage Grant Scheme’. Under this scheme, girls belonging to BPL family will be given the benefit of this scheme. For a family that has two daughters for marriage, the government will provide an amount of up to Rs 50,000 as support for the financial situation.
Uttarakhand Shadi Anudan Yojana Other Details:
- The reason for starting this scheme is that people who have weak and poor financial status have two daughters. The daughter will not have to get married by taking a loan.
- Shadi Hetu Anudan Yojana will provide financial assistance up to Rs 50,000.
- Under the scheme, the process of applying on the website of the Social Welfare Department has been started on the software developed by the Department of Social Welfare and Tribal Development in collaboration with NIC.
- A family can take a grant for the marriage of two daughters, for which application can be done online before or after 90 days of marriage.
Eligibility for Shadi Anudan Yojana Uttarakhand
- The annual income of the applicant should be Rs 56,460 in urban area and Rs 46,080 in rural area.
- Old age, widow, socialist and disabled pension applicants do not need income certificate.
- Applicants of SC-ST category are required to indicate the number of caste certificate issued online by the tehsil.
- In the application made for marriage, the daughter’s age must be 18 years or more on the date of marriage.
- After the death of the husband, preference will be given to destitute women and disabled applicants. The marriage of two daughters in a family will receive a grant.
