Government of Maharashtra. Swadhar Yojana 2019-20 has been launched for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Navi Badhu category students. Under this scheme, students will get Rs. 51,000 per year as assistance from the government. For his studies in class 10th, 12th, degree, diploma and vocational courses. This assistance will be given for their stay, boarding facilities and other expenses.
All students who have taken admission in class 11th / 12th and thereafter in the year 2019-20 are eligible for vocational and non-professional courses Swadhar Yojana. Even those candidates who have not given admission to the government have been included. Even if eligible, hostel facilities can also be availed under the scheme.
The Social Welfare Department of Maharashtra is going to implement this scheme for the welfare of poor and disadvantaged candidates of SC and NB communities.
Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana 2019-20 – Eligibility and apply online
Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to become eligible for Swachh Yojana:
- An applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra and belong to the Scheduled Castes or the newly born category notified by the State Government.
- The annual income of the family of students from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
- The student must have a valid bank account linked to his / her Aadhaar number.
- For vocational courses after 10th, students should have taken admission in the course. The duration of the course should not be less than 2 years.
- Students should get 40% marks in the previous examination.
- All physically qualified must have a minimum of 40% marks for eligibility.
Students must be resident within 5 km of the district headquarters or Nashik city.
