About Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS)
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan was established in November 1962. Through the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, the children of the transferable Central Government employees were to provide higher-class education. It has been serving India for over 50 years with 1218 schools across the country. It is a family of over 1.3 million students across the country and also has a family of over 50000 employees. Eligibility Criteria For Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission
For class 1-
- Firstly, 15% seats are reserved for SC and 7.5% seats are reserved for ST.
- 25% seats in class I per section are to be filled as per RTE provision.
- In the second phase, the remaining seats are filled according to the existing priority category system.
For class 2 to class 8
- There is no entrance test / examination for admission of students in class 2-class 8 in Kendriya Vidyalaya.
- Admission is given on the basis of priority category system.
For class 9th
- Admission in class 9th will be done through an entrance examination.
- A separate merit list will also be prepared for each category of priority.
- The entrance examination will be conducted in the following 5 subjects-
- Hindi
- English
- the mathematics
- Social science
- Science.
- To qualify, candidates should score 33% marks on average.
- Students belonging to SC / ST / Divyang category (PH) will be eligible for admission to achieve an average of 25%.
For Class 11th
- To be eligible for admission, students have to get the following percentage of marks-
- On average, minimum 60% marks in all subjects for science.
- Average 55% marks in all subjects for commerce.
- For Humanities, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) students if declared successful in class 10th examination.
Documents Required KVS Admission 2023-23
- Proof of Age – Birth certificate issued by Notified Area Council / Municipality / Municipal Corporation, Date of Birth from Gram Panchayat, Military Hospital records and service records of defense personnel or certificate issued by a school recognized by the State Education Department. Will be accepted.
