YSR Awas Yojana 2020 has been launched by Chief Minister Shri Jagan Mohan Reddy on 12 July 2019. The main objective of the government of AP State is to provide houses to poor people. The scheme was announced by Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Shri B. Rajendranath Reddy has presented the first state budget of the YSR government. Under the YSR Housing Scheme 2020, the state government will regulate two schemes ie YSR Economic Vicar Sessions Housing Scheme and YSR Urban Housing Scheme. YSR Housing Scheme 2020
As promised by Chief Minister Shri Jaganmohan Reddy in his election campaign, YSR Awas Yojana has been announced on 12 July 2019. The CM fulfilled one of his nine major promises that he made to the people of the state during the election. The scheme was named his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy. This scheme is formerly known as NTR Awas Yojana. The state government allocated Rs 280 crore for the scheme. This scheme is for the poor people of the state who do not have their own house and are unable to build their own house.

Purpose of AP Housing Scheme
In the state budget, the Andhra Pradesh government has focused on housing for all concepts. To achieve this objective, the government has sanctioned Rs 9786 crore for the housing sector. The YSR government wants to provide its home to every needy person. The YSR Housing Scheme 2020 will definitely serve as a milestone in the achievement of the objective.
PMAY YSR Weaker Section Housing Scheme
The YSR government has sanctioned Rs 1,280 crore under the state budget. PMAY YSR EWS Housing Scheme will provide pucca house to the beneficiary of economically weaker section. Any citizen of Andhra Pradesh who will meet all the government set criteria, can apply for PMAY Weaker Section Housing Scheme.
YSR Urban Housing Scheme
The YSR Urban Housing Scheme will be implemented by the state government from next year. The scheme is specifically announced for the poor, middle-income group and low-income group people who live in urban areas. For the successful implementation of the YSR Urban Housing Scheme, the state government has allocated Rs 1000 crore. Additionally, PMAY Urban allocated Rs.5000 / – crore for the development of urban area. The main focus of the scheme is to provide houses to all in the state before 2023. Eligibility criteria YSR Housing Scheme

Steps to implement YSR Housing Scheme
The state government or housing department has not yet disclosed any criteria for availing the benefits of the scheme. The department will have to release the application process soon. Jagananna Colonies Plot Information
This Scheme wiill be launched in Kadapa district at pulivendula town. The area that is covered in the scheme will be around 255 acres land. The government has decided to allocate around 1- 1.5 cent of land along with documents. Around 754 layouts are formed with 95,549 plots for allocation. Every layout has 10% land for the purpose of community parks, playgrounds etc and the development of this land project will be taken place by the government of Andhra Pradesh on war footing basis.
