Government of Tamil Nadu. Applications for the Amma Two Wheeler Scheme 2019 are invited every year at tamilnadumahalir.org. Subsequently, all women between the ages of 18 and 45 can avail 50% of the government. Subsidy or Rs. 25,000 (whichever is less) on purchase of Mofed and Scooter. Amma 2 Wheeler Scheme 2019 will make women financially independent and confident. Subsequently, the scheme is for “women empowerment” in the state of Tamil Nadu. All women with an annual income below Rs. 2.50 Lakh with a maximum of 50% or Rs. 25000 subsidy. The balance is to be borne by the beneficiary through bank loan or other means. The process of filling the previous application form started on 8 January 2019 and ended on 18 January 2019.

All women candidates seeking 50% grant on purchase of vehicle can download the application in PDF format and submit it to the concerned authorities. Accordingly, the direct links to download the Amma 2 Wheeler Scheme application form (rural and urban) are as follows: –

Candidates have to download a printout of the application form. Later, candidates can fill all the required details including personal details, bank details etc.

To complete the application form, applicants will have to affix the recent passport size photograph.

The official notification of Amma Two Wheeler Subsidy Scheme 2019 has been released. After filling the complete Amma 2 Wheeler Scheme application form, candidates have to submit the form PDF to the concerned authorities before the last date to get subsidy on purchase vehicles.

Amma 2 Wheeler Scheme 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • All applicants must be women of Tamil Nadu state.
  • Subsequently, the age of the female applicant should be from 18 to 45 years. (First 18 to 40 years)
  • Women working on special time pay whose annual income is Rs. is less than. 2.50 lakhs are eligible. These include Anganwadi workers, assistants, lunch organizers, cooks and assistants, women workers in cooperatives / shops and other women holding equal positions in various government departments, government undertakings, urban and rural local bodies, who are now receiving subsidies.   • Only one woman in any family can apply for the scheme.
  • Further, this subsidy is applicable only to vehicles with less than 125 cc capacity.

In addition, preference will be given to families run by an individual woman, disabled and transgender. The beneficiary’s prior criteria for “appearing” for the Class 8 examination – whether they pass or fail – has been removed in the revised Government Order (G.O) issued on 29 November 2019.

PM Modi launches Amma Two Wheeler Scheme

The Prime Minister had launched the Amma Two Wheeler Scheme in Chennai. As a launching mark, the Prime Minister handed over the new Scooty key to 5 working women at a 50% subsidy. These women were named Madhumala, d. Deepa, s. Farzana, R. Tangmala, G. Kavita.
