AP govt. renames Mid-day Meal Scheme as Jagananna Gorumudda Scheme 2020, check new midday meal menu to be served to students of govt. / govt-aided / primary schools and all other schools

Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Mid Day Meal Scheme has been renamed to AP Jagannath Gorumadda Scheme. State Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made this announcement on 21 January 2020. People can now check out the new Midday Meal menu for students which will be applicable for a full week in schools. This scheme will ensure that all students get proper nutritious food during their school hours.

AP Midday Meal Scheme is a school meal program of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Designed to improve the nutritional outlook of school-age children. The program supplies free lunches on working days for children in primary and upper primary classes in government / government aided schools.

CM Jagan Mohan Reddy informed the AP State Assembly about the changes made in the Mid-Day Meal Scheme to provide quality and healthy food to the students. He also gave a home on the Amma Vodi scheme, where each mother is given 15,000 a year for sending her children to schools.

AP Jagannan Gorumadda Scheme (MDM Menu) Implementation

Here is the complete information and details of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in Andhra Pradesh: –

  • All District Educational Officers (DEO) of AP State are informed that the Mid Day Meal Scheme is being implemented in all the schools / middle bodies / aid of the Government. Model School / NCLP / Madrasa for students studying from class I to X in the state. As per the orders of the government, all students are to be boiled eggs four times a week under the Mid Day Meal Scheme.
  • The above MDM menu should be implemented in all schools under the Mid Day Meal Scheme and the authorities should ensure that the egg is being served for a specified time in a week.

Further, all DEOs are instructed to ensure that the MDM bills for the previous month’s bills are submitted to the Treasury Office by the 5th of every month and paid by the 10th of every month. Any laxity will be viewed seriously on the implementation of the Mid Day Meal Scheme.
