Government of Andhra Pradesh is going to start AP YSR Jagannala Colonies Scheme on 8 July 2020. The Kadapa district administration is making all efforts to launch Jagan Anna colonies in Pulivendula town on the scheduled date. In this scheme, the State Govt. Will allocate 1 to 1.5 percent of land with documents to beneficiaries in urban and rural areas. In addition, these colonies will also include playgrounds and portions.
For the beneficiaries of the AP YSR Jagannala Colonies Scheme, the identified land will be given in their name. Along with this, each beneficiary will also get land documents that will allow them to build a house. State government. Andhra Pradesh has also directed banks to provide financial assistance to the beneficiaries and the land should be developed on a war footing.
The AP Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has unanimously named these places as YSR Jagannath colonies.

- Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to launch the scheme in Pulivendula on 8 July 2020 on the occasion of his father’s birth anniversary.
- It is said that around 60,000 beneficiaries were identified in the entire district and another 10,000 applications are under consideration.
- AP Government Has proposed to allot one and a half percent land in rural areas to each beneficiary. In addition, one percent of land in urban areas for the construction of houses.
- A huge layout is being developed on Pulivendula on 255 acres of land which is the largest layout in the district.
- Around 754 layouts with 95,549 plots were built in the entire Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.
In the AP Jagannala Colonies scheme, it was mandated to leave 10% of the land in every layout for community purposes such as parks and playgrounds.
The Housing Department ensures that there is no shortage of land for the establishment of Jagannala colonies. AP Government Wherever required, it is prepared to purchase land from private individuals. Applications are to be accepted from all eligible beneficiaries by 30 June 2020 and there was no problem for land.
Also as per instructions of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, AP Govt. It has been decided to allot double bedroom houses built during the previous government.
