Government of Odisha invites Madhu Babu Pension Scheme (MBPY) online application form 2020 at ssepd.gov.in. The scheme was launched in January 2008 where the state government merged the two old schemes. These 2 schemes were revised, the Old Age Pension Rules, 1989 ET Disability Pension Rules, 1985 and Madhu Babu Pension Scheme Rules, 2008 were introduced. The transgender community has been included under the state government MBPY, which aims to provide financial assistance to destitute elderly, separated persons and widows in the state. People can now apply online on the official website of ssepd or download the application form in PDF format.
The official website of Ssepd is now functional and belongs to the state government. MBPY is accepting online forms for social security pension schemes. Those aged / widowed / disabled / transgender people whose name is not present in Madhu Babu Pension Scheme list can register MBPY of beneficiaries online. After registering themselves, such persons will be eligible for pension benefits. Nearly 5,000 transgenders now have Rs. 500, Rs. 700 and Rs. 900 per month as pension under various categories depending on their age.

Eligibility Criteria
- Those applicant’s whose age is 60 years and above
- or a widow of any age
- or leprosy patient with visible signs of deformity of any age
- PWD of any age
- or AIDS patient identified by the State / District AIDS Control Society of any age
- The annual income of applicants family is must not more than Rs. 24000/-
- Only those who are a permanent resident of Odisha can apply
- Applicant must not get benefits of any other pension scheme of union Government or the state government or any organization aided by either Government

Some important points about Madhu Babu Pension Scheme
- Beneficiaries will be selected impartially
- Beneficiaries will be announced through wide publicity about the scheme
- All collectors have to arrange a selection camp at least once a month.
- Extension officer of Gram Panchayat and concerned executive should be on campus with sufficient number of forms
- All information about the application must be computerized
- All pensioners must be verified annually by collectors

- Click at the “Schemes / Services” link under “Beneficiary Services” section
- The “Application for Beneficiary” page will appear
- Select the name of the scheme as “Madhu Babu Pension Yojana” and click at the “Proceed” button.
- Thereafter you need to upload Aadhar card scan copy, thumb impression or signature and recent passport size image
- Read the declaration carefully and tick the checkbox
- Click the “submit” option after reviewing the details

Payment Mode for Beneficiaries
After proper identification by the PRI members, the pension is transferred to G.P. GP in the shape of cash in the head quarter. It is being distributed on the Head Quarter, i.e. on the 15th of every month i.e. Jan Seva Day. To ensure transparency, the Block Office and G.P. The list of beneficiaries will be circulated in the office. People can contact the Block Development Officer (BDO) or ULB executive officers of the concerned block.
