Blood Bank From Home – Download eBloodServices App for android smartphone users

Union Government Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has launched the ibaldaservices app on 26 June 2020. This mobile application has been developed in partnership with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) so that the blood required for transfusion can be easily accessed. All Android smartphone users can now download the eBloodServices app from the Google Play Store. Citizens can request various blood components through the mobile app from IRCS National Headquarters Delhi.

People can now request blood at their doorstep through the eBloodServices mobile app. The new app will be beneficial in these corona times when travel has become a problem and those who need blood cannot move from one blood bank to another. Through this app, users can also track the status of their request from within the EWS Services app.

This EnglishService app has been developed by the e-Raktoshosh team of Center for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) under Digital India Scheme. Through this app, 4 units of blood may be required at one time and the blood bank will wait for 12 hours for the person to collect it.

According to the available official data, India has confirmed 5 lakh coronoviruses. Of these, about 3 lakh have been recovered and by June 27, 2020, there have been about 15,685 deaths.
