उत्तराखंड मुख्यमंत्री आँचल अमृत योजना 2020 – बच्चों को मुफ्त दूध – Uttarakhand government launched Mukhya Mantri Aanchal Amrit Yojana 2020 scheme for 7 lakh + children in 20,000 Anganwadi centers and 17,045 schools, free milk will be provided to students from class 1 to 8 to provide proper nutrition
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has launched Mukhyamantri Urban Amrit Yojana in Dehradun on 13 March 2020. Under this scheme, under the government mid-day meal scheme, children studying in first to eighth grade will be provided nutritious milk once a week. About 1,72,000 children studying in Anganwadi schools are being given milk 4 times a week. Now 6,90,000 children from 17,045 schools will also be given milk once a week.
Through this initiative children will get proper nutrition which will help in preventing the risk of malnutrition. There are around 20,000 Anganwadi centers in the state of Uttarakhand and at these centers children are provided with fragrant, sweet and skimmed milk powder. In Uttarakhand, children between the age of 3 to 6 years are getting free milk under Mukhyamantri Achal Amrit Yojana. Now students of classes 1 to 8 will also get this nutritious milk.
With this cooperative campaign, malnourished children studying in Anganwadi centers will be provided proper nutrition in the coming years.

- CM of Uttarakhand has launched Mukhyamantri Urban Amrit Yojana in Dehradun on 13 March 2020.
- Children are given free milk 4 times a week at Anganwadi centers. Now the students of 1st to 8th grade will also get nutritious milk under the Mid Day Meal Scheme.
- Around 1.72 lakh children are being given 100 ml free milk at around 20,000 Anganwadi centers across the state. Now 6.9 children from 17,045 schools will also get nutritious milk once a week.
- Aromatic, sweet, skimmed milk powder will be made available to children under the Amrit scheme.
- The primary focus of the scheme is to ensure that the state has healthy children which is necessary to make the future of the country healthy and safe.
The Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Development has termed the scheme as a major step to fight malnutrition in the state. The need to start Mukhya Mantri Aanchal Amrit Yojana has been felt as there are 18,000 children in the state who are suffering from malnutrition.
As per the official statement given by the CM, he said that “about 7 lakh + students are studying in Anganwadi centers / government schools. Schools. Since most of these children come from disadvantaged sections of the society and do not have proper access to nutrition, the government will now provide free milk to them. Milk is a high quality nutritional source, hence Govt. Will provide nutritious milk to those children once a week.
