About Snehaloy Housing Scheme
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched a new housing scheme for the economically weaker section of the state on Tuesday, 3 March 2020. The scheme is named Snehal Awas Yojana. This scheme is beneficial for about 25000 people of the state. The decision to start this scheme has been taken by the CM after receiving calls from the call request cell from home for people to stay. Under this scheme all beneficiaries get Rs. 1.20 lakh from the West Bengal State Government for the construction of their house. This amount will be given to the beneficiaries in two parts.
